Our Vision
We believe robotics shouldn’t live only in factories and research labs.
It should live where people live.
Nektar Automata is building robotic systems that prepare and serve beverages — coffee, cocktails, cold drinks — without needing a full bar, a full team, or constant supervision.
Our goal is simple: bring high-quality service anywhere people gather.
Hotels, airports, offices, beach bars, even passenger ships.
Anywhere someone wants a perfect drink, on demand.
We’re not trying to replace people.
We’re trying to make great service available in places where people can’t always be.

Why now
Hospitality is under pressure.
- Staffing is difficult, especially in seasonal or high-traffic locations.
- Quality changes from shift to shift.
- Night hours and remote locations (beaches, pools, decks on ferries) are hard to cover.
- Guests today expect convenience, speed, and consistency.
At the same time, the experience still matters.
People don’t just want caffeine. They want a “wow” moment.
We’re building robots that do both:
reliability for the operator, spectacle for the guest.
What we build
We design autonomous robotic kiosks that can prepare and serve drinks with accuracy and repeatability.
Our systems combine:
- A robotic arm that handles the physical workflow (ice, coffee, mixing, pouring).
- Intelligent software that coordinates each step with sub-second timing.
- A touch interface for ordering and payment.
- A compact enclosure designed to live in public spaces.
Our first product is called NektarBrew.
NektarBrew is a robotic barista concept that prepares a freddo espresso the way a human barista would: grind, extract, add ice, mix, pour — with consistent quality, every time.
Future systems extend this model beyond coffee.

How it works
Under the hood, our robots run on industrial-grade robotics software.
ROS 2 (Robot Operating System): This is the “brain.” It coordinates all subsystems — ice, sugar, coffee, arm movement — like a conductor leading an orchestra.
MoveIt 2: Plans safe, precise robotic motion. The arm doesn’t just “move”; it thinks about how to move.
CAN bus control network: The same reliable communication tech used in modern cars. Each joint/motor knows exactly what to do and when to do it.
3D-printed, modular mechanics: We design our own hardware and manufacture custom parts in-house. That keeps us fast, flexible, and independent.
In simple words:
we’re building robots that can wake up, prepare a drink, serve it, clean themselves, and stand by for the next order.

Where we see these robots
We imagine our systems operating in places where human service is either expensive, inconsistent, or physically inconvenient:
- Hotel lobbies and pool bars
- Airport gates and VIP lounges
- Corporate break areas (employee well-being, 24/7 access)
- Beach bars and seasonal venues
- Ferries and cruise ships
One robot.
Zero breaks.
Same result, every time.

Why this matters
We’re building something that:
looks alive, feels premium, and delivers a drink that someone would actually be proud to serve.
It’s not just about efficiency.
It’s about experience.
When a guest orders a freddo espresso and watches a robotic arm mix, shake, and pour it with barista-level choreography — that’s not a transaction. That’s a moment.
And “moments” are what venues sell.
We build robots that serve people.
Nektar Automata exists because we believe access, quality, and beauty in service can be engineered — not just hoped for.
The future shouldn’t be locked inside research labs or giant corporations.
The future should be standing in front of you, handing you a perfect coffee.
